WEEK 7 (PROBLEM STATEMENT)
Objectives:
1) To analyze the problem statement that might suitable for the project
Methodology:
1) From the title, create one problem statement that can got from the observation or research
about the title.
2) Focus about the issue that need to solve.
3) State the method to solve the problem.
Result:
At first, I just draft the problem state that I think suitable for my project before I meet Madam Johara. This is the draft that I wrote;
Nowadays demand for electrical energy is keep rising from society throughout the year and
although renewable energy resources are not taking seriously among the society. Then, the
requirement for renewable energy sources has turned out to be a key and sunlight based
vitality specifically has turned out to be exceptionally encouraging option as a result of its
accessibility and contaimination free nature. So, solar energy and wind energy is a good
example of renewable energy that has to be implement in Malaysia or other countries. Solar
energy is generated the electricity by using photovoltaic or called as PV. The PV panel are
solar cells that convert sunlight to D.C electricity. When light energy strikes the cell, electrons
are emitted. The electrical conductor attached to the positive and negative scales of the
material allow the electrons to be captured in the form of a D.C current. The generated
electricity can be used to power a load or can be stored in battery. Besides,the wind energy is
generated the electricity by using wind turbine or windmill.This turbine transforms the wind
energy to mechanical energy, which in a generator is converted to electrical power. An
integration of wind generator, wind turbine, aero generators is known as a wind energy
conversion system. Therefore that renewable energy is very useful when have a emergency
case such as blackout.
After meeting with Madam Johara, she said that my problem statement does not related to the IoT system and she told to me to publish the correct one on my blog
From a little bit study from past research, I got the new problem statement for my project.

This is the new one;
The IoT is known as The Internet of Things has a vision in which the internet extends into the real
world embracing everyday objects. The IoT allows objects to be sensed and/or controlled remotely
over existing network infrastructure, creating opportunities for pure integration of the physical
world into computer-based systems, and resulting in improved efficiency, accuracy and economic
benefit in addition to reduced human intervention. Nowadays, renewable energy surely gives many
benefits, but one of the disadvantages is harvesting these energy are so depending on climate,
weather, seasons and time, therefore hybrid system is one of the solutions of combining these
energy to a single system. ATS-Automatic Transfer Switch enclosure can be applied for hybrid
photovoltaic (PV) and wind turbine, placing grid ac power and generator set as backup or emergency
purposes only. The priority is to use renewable energy as the main power source. Automatic
sequential can be programmed into microcontroller for supervision, monitoring and data logging of
ATS system by using IoT (Internet Of Things) Technology through GPRS GSM internet gateway.
Conclusion:
As a conclusion, I have managed to do problem statement and do some research or journal that get from Google Scholar. There were a lot of information about IoT system and finally Madam Johara accepted my new problem statement that are related about my project and IoT system.
